​How to Create and Submit an Instagram Reel:

​

Step-by-Step: Creating a Reel

​

1. Open Instagram and log into your account.

2. Tap the ‘+’ (Create) button and choose “Reel.”

3. Record a video using the app or upload from your gallery (up to 60 seconds).

4. Use Instagram Tools to add:

• Music

• Text Overlays

• Filters or Effects

5. In the caption, include:

• Your Registration ID (provided by D.A.T.A. after you register)

• Relevant hashtags (e.g., #DATAReels2025)

• A short message or description of your Reel 

 

*How to Add @dsm_telugu_association as a Collaborator*

To invite the official D.A.T.A. page as a collaborator:

1. On the final screen before posting your Reel, tap “Tag People.”

2. Select “Invite Collaborator”

3. Search and choose: @dsm_telugu_association

4. Post your Reel. Once D.A.T.A. accepts the collaboration invite, your Reel will appear on both accounts!

Note: Your account must be public during the contest period.

 

Contest Guidelines:

 

• Open to all ages - individual or group entries are welcome.

• The reel must be original. You can only be inspired by existing trends online. Plagiarized or copyrighted content without permission leads to disqualification.

• No infringing, threatening, misleading, false, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, political, religious, inflammatory, scandalous, pornographic or profane content.

• Any offensive, name-calling, derogatory remarks, and/or regional slang towards any person or community should not be used.

• Max duration of the reel should not exceed 60 seconds.

• Language: Please stick to Telugu only.

• Only one entry per participant/account. Any duplicate entries will result in team disqualification. 

• Late submissions will not be accepted.

• As per Reel format, the video should be made vertically and not horizontally.

• Ensure submissions do not violate any copyright, intellectual property rights, or privacy laws. 

• Violating any rule or providing false information may result in disqualification.

• By participating, you agree to abide by all contest rules.

 

Terms & Conditions:

• D.A.T.A. reserves the right to publish submitted reels on any online platform without prior consent from the creator.

• The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.

• Entries containing content that is infringing, threatening, misleading, false, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, inflammatory, scandalous, pornographic, or profane will be disqualified at D.A.T.A.’s discretion.

• This contest is open to all. By participating, each entrant acknowledges and agrees that D.A.T.A. may collect and use their registration data in accordance with its privacy policy.

Judging Criteria:

• The Reel with the highest number of likes will be declared the winner.

​

• Winners will receive exciting prizes.

• Featured on D.A.T.A.’s Instagram page.

• Recognized at the Summer Sambaralu 2025 event.
